How
To Find Us
______________
Franklands Yard is situated within a
few minutes walk of Kettering town's commercial centre, in the
heart of victorian suburbia. Just 250 metres from the new central
bus station and 'inner ring road', we are within easy reach of
both town centre shoppers and visiting motorists alike.
Newcomers to Kettering
however, often find the maze of terraced streets and one way systems
initially confusing. We have therefore drawn up a series of basic
directions to assist those unfamiliar with our town.

_________________________________________________________________
From A43 – Stamford
Continue into Kettering along
Stamford Road to the roundabout with Windmill Avenue, the Warren
public house on far side. Carry straight over, taking the 2nd
exit towards the town centre down the hill. As the road rises
(becoming Montague St), look for Wellington St on the right hand
side. This is one way and is easily identified by a large converted
victorian factory on the near corner and Caswell's furniture shop
on the far. 1st left off Wellington St. is Lindsay St, we are
located 25 metres up, on the right hand side.
_______________________________________________________________________________
From A14 westbound and A6
– Bedford
Continue into Kettering
along the old A6 (exit A14 J10). At the traffic lights adjacent
to the main entrance to Wicksteed Park, turn right into Windmill
avenue. Negotiating several mini roundabouts, carry on to the
end of Windmill Avenue and the roundabout with Stamford Road (the
Warren P/H on your left). Turn left into Stamford Road and continue
into Montague St as in directions from Stamford above.
_______________________________________________________________________________
From A509 – Wellingborough
From A14 J9, continue straight
over the roundabouts into Kettering along Pychley Rd. At the mini
roundabout and junction with London road (Wicksteed Park on the
right), for simplicity, turn right towards Wicksteed's main entrance.
At the lights turn left into Windmill Avenue and pick up directions
as from A6 above.
_______________________________________________________________________________
From A43 – Northampton
From A14 J10, continue into
Kettering along Northampton Rd. As the road drops down the hill
and under the railway bridge, bear left onto Northfield avenue.
Carry straight on over the mini roundabout to the large roundabout
and junction with Rothwell Rd. Take the 3rd exit up the hill into
Lower St. Proceed straight on through two sets of lights, passing
Salisbury's on the left. At the 3rd set of lights again go straight
on into Eskdaill Street, the main one way 'ring road' through
the town. Passing St Andrew's church on the left and the new bus
station on the right, take the very 1st left before the bend into
Lindsay St. We are located on the left after Rock Bottom Discount
Warehouse.
_________________________________________________________________
From A14 eastbound
Negotiate the large interchange
with the northern bypass and continue towards Kettering town centre
and the General Hospital. Passing the hospital on the right, proceed
under the railway bridge to the roundabout and junction with Northfield
Avenue. Carry straight on taking the 2nd exit into Lower St. Pick
up directions as from A43 – Northampton above.
_______________________________________________________________________________
From A6003 – Corby
Continue towards Kettering
town center along Rockingham Rd, passing the football stadium
on the left, carry
straight over the roundabout. After passing Salisbury's on the
right, turn left at the traffic lights into Eskdaill Street and
Kettering's main one way 'ring road'. Take the 1st left into Lindsay
Street and proceed as in the directions from A43 – Northampton
above.
